DEFENCE academy

We recently took Harmony Youth Project’s knife crime prevention van to Bury Defence Academy, where a group of young people came out to have a look.

It was a great opportunity to show them the van up close and tell them a little about how we use it to take our prevention work out into local communities. Sometimes, a simple visit can be a good starting point for a conversation about safety, the pressures young people may face and where they can find support.

Our aim is to help young people make informed, safer choices. The van helps make that work more visible and gives us another way to meet groups in the places where they already spend time.

Thank you to everyone at Bury Defence Academy for welcoming us. We look forward to bringing the van out to more groups and communities across Bolton.
